Meeting Recap – Hope4Families Strategic Partnership (Feb. 21, 2025)
Key Discussion Highlights:
- The Split Outreach Project: Christina McGhee introduced this nonprofit initiative, aimed at reshaping the divorce experience for families through education and storytelling. Participants discussed virtual screenings and partnership opportunities to expand the project's impact.
- Pro Se Divorce Course Collaboration: Danica invited professional review and potential partnerships for the course. (Please reach out to Danica Dockery or Sharon LaPointe if you wish to be a reviewer)
- Shared Parenting Legislation & Advocacy: Updates were provided on legislative efforts, including Mark Ludwig’s upcoming meetings in Washington, DC, and presentations on family law reform.
- Mental Health Awareness & Parental Alienation: The impact of divorce-related challenges on children, particularly those with special needs, was emphasized.
- Upcoming Events & Collaborative Efforts: Plans for Divorce with Respect Week, the NPO Shared Parenting Report Card release, and Shared Parenting Day in 2026 were discussed.
